There are a number of anaesthetic specialist training posts at the Royal London Hospital:
- One stage 3 (or equivalent) tier who cover the senior on-call (Bleep 1220) rota.
- One stage 3 (or equivalent) tier who cover the mechanical thrombectomy rota (Bleep 1525)
- One stage 2+ tier who cover the obstetric on-call (Bleep 1326) rota.
- One stage 2+ (or equivalent) tier of clinical fellows who cover the obstetric on-call (Bleep 1526 rota)
- One stage 2+ tier who cover the paediatric on-call (Bleep 1061) rota.
- One stage 1 tier who cover the general (Bleep 1366) rota.
Additionally, RLH also hosts a small number of novice posts.
There are 6 theatre areas at RLH:
- Main Theatres 4th floor main building.
- ACAD Theatres 3rd floor main building.
- Obstetric theatres 6th floor main building.
- Paediatric theatres 6th floor main building.
- IR theatres 1st floor main building.
- Dental theatres in the adjacent dental hospital.
Anaesthesia is also occasionally provided in MRI (next to IR) and in Endoscopy (3rd floor).
Lockers and Shoes
Some are available in the trainee office and a few available in the Anaesthetics deptartment corridor and changing rooms. See anaesthetic secretaries for more information.
