Smartcards, ID cards and scrubs

Smartcards

Prior to starting at the trust, information regarding Smartcards will come direct from Medical Personnel or the Registration Authority.

If you already have a smartcard then you will need to have this reactivated / activated for this Trust.

Registration Authority drop-in sessions are open on the 10^th floor (Reception desk, between Ward 10E and 10F).

If you do not have a Smartcard, you should be contacted by the Registration Authority with the relevant documents for completion. If not, then please contact the team on bartshealth.ra-juniordoctors@nhs.net.

You can also register by attending a drop-In Session. You will require:

• Two forms of photo ID and one proof of address
• or one photo ID and two proofs of address

N.B. All proofs of address need to be within the last 3 months.

If you want your card ready for the start of your post, then this will need to be done in advance of your start with us

ID Cards

If you are new to the Trust, and you complete relevant paperwork and send a photo before commencing, then Medical Education will organise an ID card ahead of your start, so it can be collected from Stepney Way Reception on your first day with us.

If you submit a photo in advance, it must be:

• Clear and in focus
• In colour
• Unaltered by computer software
• Have a white background

Alternatively, when you arrive, you can obtain a card by completing a form and taking it to reception in person. This will take longer to process.

You will need to request a form from either Medical Education, when you attend your Trust induction, or the Anaesthetic Administrators.

• 3^rd, 4^th and 6^th floor theatres
• ACCU
• 2^nd Floor Therapies (Medical Library)
